Last night’s supper – the abuse of a “5” day – 5:2 diet?!

Let me show you my supper last night:


Salad kebab with extra roasted veggies, chilli sauce, vegan mayo, onion rings and chips. 

Note to reader – this is not on my usual small tea plate, but instead my gigantic dinner plates!

Okay so I only ate half of the chips and half of the salad kebab (as I was truly stuffed), but I did polish off all of the onion rings (there were 5 but only 4 made it onto the plate as I ate 1 as I plated up!).

This food decision was not related to my fast the day before, instead it was due to hubby being away on business and me fancying a ‘treat’ and not being bothered to cook.  However, in theory this should still fit with the principles of 5:2, where you can treat yourself occasionally and still lose weight.

I will have to wait until next week to see if this will have a detrimental effect on my weight, but I thought it would be interesting to show that I am very far from perfect with my weight loss/health efforts and that (perhaps) you can get away with quite a lot on this 5:2 diet.
