12 diets, 12 months – 16:8 diet

If you’ve read my short blog entitled Abandoned! – The Mediterranean Diet you’ll know that I just couldn’t commit to The principles – The Mediterranean Diet.  It wasn’t that the diet wasn’t a healthy and delicious one, but it just didn’t work for me.  So I made the decision only two weeks in to abandon the diet and search for a more successful one.

As I had great success on the 5:2 diet, and I haven’t much time to research alternatives, I’ve decided to give the 16:8 diet a go for the next 4 weeks.  16:8 is another type of intermittent fasting, but instead of fasting 2 days a week (as you do with 5:2) you fast for 16 hours of each day (or as I like to think of it 5 hours a day as I sleep for 9 hours each day!).
